The Portal in one page
The Portal is at https://portal.sftp.cloud. This page is a map of it. If you are setting up for the first time, follow Your first hour instead and come back here later.
The shape of it
The Portal has two halves.
Your account, at the bottom of the sidebar, covers everything that is true of your organization as a whole: who may sign in to the Portal, the payment relationship, and the account wide activity log.
Your sites, above it, covers everything that is true of one deployment. Most customers have exactly one site, and the Portal keeps the concept out of the way until a second one exists.

What the Portal cannot do
The Portal does not decide what a user may do inside a folder. That decision lives on your Storage Connector, in its own admin console, on your own hardware. See How the pieces fit together for why, and Permissions for how.
The split in one line: the Portal decides who exists and where they land; the Connector decides what they may do when they get there.
Finding things quickly
Press Ctrl K (or Cmd K on a Mac) anywhere in the Portal to open the command palette. Type a page name or a site name and press Enter.
Reading order
If you are new, read these in order:
- Create your account
- Secure your sign in
- Create your first site
- Connect your storage
- Create your first user
Everything after that is reference: read the page for the thing you are doing.
